Residence Permit/VISA
If you are a student from a country outside the European Union or the Nordic countries you may have to obtain a residence permit and/or a visa before entering Sweden. Please contact the Swedish Embassy/Consulate in your own country for further information. Acquiring a visa/residence permit can be a lengthy procedure.
Foreign students applying for a residence permit will have to show documents proving financial support at a Swedish Embassy or Consulate.
