Eskil Mattsson and Maria Svane were in December awarded with Environmental profile of the month for their fine efforts in the University of Gothenburg's participation in UN climate conference in Copenhagen. Eskil is a PhD student at the Department of Earth science and conducts research on climate change and the REDD tool. Eskil has, since early autumn, worked to coordinate the GU-delegates, and in an exemplary manner kept in contact with the United Nations, responded to questions and coordinated the GU's participation at the conference. Maria, who normally works as a Project Manager at GMV, has been the GU and Chalmers anchors in Copenhagen during the conference. She has frequently updated the blog with own posts, good summaries of the negotiations and the events down in Copenhagen. She has also ensured that GU and Chalmers delegates written interesting posts. A rose is also sent to all those who in one way or another, have supported and facilitated participation and blogging from the COP 15th. Congratulations!
