Kurs/utbildning
To provide participants with fundamental theory regarding C. elegans as a model orgnanism and direct hands-on experience with essential C. elegans methods. The aim is to equip PhD students with the knowledge and skills that they will need to set up a worm activity in their own research group, no matter what that group currently works on.
A One-Week Training on C. elegans
Note: All participants should select a C. elegans paper they would like to present and discuss for the Friday Journal club. Pick a paper that is relevant for yourself.
Monday
10.00: Theory: Worm anatomy, life cycle, cultivation
13.00-17.00 Practice: Make worm plates, make chemotaxis plates.
